Conditions we treat
Every referral to Activa begins with a biomechanical diagnosis rather than a symptom label. The four streams below reflect how we actually organise assessment and care: a knee problem and a post-stroke gait problem need different clinicians, different measures and different timelines.
Spine & disc
Mechanical and degenerative spinal conditions where the goal is to unload the affected segment, restore disc height and free the compressed nerve root before surgery is considered.
10 conditions
- Lumbar slipped discL4-L5 / L5-S1 prolapse with leg radiation
- Cervical slipped discNeck protrusion causing arm pain or numbness
- SciaticaRadicular pain along the L4-S1 distribution
- Spinal stenosisNeurogenic claudication on walking
- SpondylosisAge-related facet and disc degeneration
- SpondylolisthesisForward slippage of one vertebra on another
- KyphosisIncreased thoracic curvature with mid-back pain
- ScoliosisLateral curvature with vertebral rotation
- Sacroiliac joint painPost-traumatic or post-partum SI dysfunction
- CoccydyniaTailbone pain aggravated by prolonged sitting
Joints & arthritis
Degenerative and inflammatory joint disease managed with regenerative injection, image-guided intervention and periarticular strengthening to defer or avoid joint replacement.
7 conditions
- Knee osteoarthritisCartilage loss, stair and squatting difficulty
- Hip degenerationGroin pain with reduced internal rotation
- Facet joint arthropathyAxial pain worse on extension and rotation
- Rotator cuff injuryImpingement and tendinopathy limiting overhead reach
- Frozen shoulderAdhesive capsulitis restricting dressing and sleep
- Tennis and golfer’s elbowEpicondylar tendinopathy from repetitive gripping
- Plantar fasciitisFirst-step heel pain on rising
Neurological & post-stroke
Neuro-rehabilitation for patients recovering motor function after a central event, and for those with peripheral nerve involvement affecting sensation, balance and gait.
6 conditions
- Ischemic stroke rehabilitationStaged motor relearning after infarction
- Hemorrhagic stroke rehabilitationRecovery programme after intracranial bleed
- Peripheral neuropathyBurning feet, numbness, increased fall risk
- Gait disturbanceAbnormal walking pattern, neurological or orthopaedic
- Motor weaknessFocal or general weakness limiting daily activity
- Facial palsyBell’s palsy and post-stroke facial weakness
Chronic pain
Persistent pain syndromes where central sensitisation, disrupted sleep and deconditioning sustain symptoms long after the original injury has healed.
5 conditions
- FibromyalgiaWidespread pain with fatigue and unrefreshing sleep
- Cervicogenic headacheHeadache referred from upper cervical segments
- Whiplash injuryPost-collision neck pain, stiffness and dizziness
- Myofascial pain syndromeTrigger points with predictable referral patterns
- Failed back surgery syndromePersistent pain after previous spine surgery
Conditions without a dedicated page are treated under the same four-phase protocol. If yours is not listed, call us and we will tell you honestly whether it falls within what we do.
Send us the report first, if you prefer
You do not have to commit to an appointment to find out whether we can help. Email your MRI, CT or X-ray report to info@activapaincenter.com with a short description of your symptoms and how long you have had them. A clinician reviews it and tells you which stream your case belongs to, or that it belongs somewhere else entirely.
